eduardorks asked: Actually, Jean was "dead" when Rouge changed sides.
That’s true. She came back some time after though.
cheshireau asked: I hope Rogue isn't turning in to one of 'them'. She was a bit harsh to old Jean.
Yeah I was actually quite surprised at her snarky comment… It’s like they’re being brainwashed by the Avengers… I mean. Jean was part of the family that took her in when she was a hot mess. Show some respect, woman!
Anonymous asked: I hate Scarlet Bitch because her powers are broken and she has the personality of a door knob...
And door knobs have no personality!
nitefyre asked: Honestly, there is not enough space in your asked for to into how hypocritical Wanda and Cap are being right know towards Scott. What I will say is I think I see where Bendis is going with this and can't wait for the moment when Cap gets called out.
You haven’t used up enough! Keep going, there’s still more space!
Anonymous asked: I think people need to remember that Wanda went through the same thing, there was a manhunt for her and everyone hated her for the longest time, until they eventually began to realize that it wasn't all her fault. I think the same will happen with Scott, once time passes people will begin to think back on that day and think about how he wasn't in his right mind. I agree that they shouldn't say her actions were any lesser, but they shouldn't hate her because Scott is being treated worse than her
Nah, they hate her because she had the audacity to redeem herself by passing it as an unconscious action while still prosecuting Scott for doing the same thing.
dae-break asked: I wouldn't say Wanda was more conscious than Scott and Jean calling Wanda a murderer is laughable considering she destroyed freaking planets and has the memories of doing so. However, she never hurt the X-Men or her family and Scott did. I think that is what Bendis had Alex present to young Scott. I'm not saying he did mean to kill Xavier just when comparing him to Jean it seems he may have had more say than he did or is leading on. We shall see I suppose and Wanda isn't in the clear yet.
Wanda hurt and killed many other mutants. Just because they’re not related to her by blood doesn’t make their deaths any less significant. She de-powered the entire mutant race. Scott killed one man. They both killed. They’re both murderers. That’s the point. There should be no “degree of severity”.
And Jean didn’t destroy planets. The Phoenix did. Same goes for Scott.
sassclops asked: i like how x-men treat a lot of its issues like real world issues. like theirs two sides to it. whos right and whos wrong is actually up for debate, instead of like 'yo where the avengers and those are some bad fucked up aliens' like, you dont have to think about that shit. the wanda/scott/phoenix situtation you have to think damn hard about. even though im firmly in scotts corner i cant ignore some pretty decent arguments against him completel. and i like that in a way
This is why the vastly overrated Avengers movie (in my opinion) didn’t have much substance. XMFC however…
hmmaster asked: This is one of those things that I like about the X-Men comics. Call it a writing flaw if you will, but you have to admit that there's a shred of reality in the Scott-Wanda situation, which is interesting and makes the characters feel more alive.
I won’t. It’s not a flaw… more of an indispensable quality.
evashandor asked: Can we go back to blaming Tony? It was probably his fault somehow.
Yes.
daxean asked: I was complaining on twitter for an hour about the Wanda-Scott issue. I mean... It makes me really furious. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that way.
Alright guys Bendis put that scene in for a reason. He wouldn’t make Jean accidentally pick up on thoughts for nothing. He starts something because he knows he’ll have to address it later. Someone’s soon about to call out on Cap’s bullshit.
cheshireau asked: I'm a bit puzzled. If Rogue is in the Uncanny Avengers, how can she be in the new all female X-Men? I know it's not an Alt Uni because I read an interview and it states Jubilee is still a Vamp.
Logan is everywhere too. I’m sure it can be done…
Anonymous asked: its funny today i made one of those my dash is dead posts and all the sudden scarlet witch was all over my dash. but i've been meaning to read the all new x-men series
It’s times like these where I feel compelled to tell you “Save yourself some rage and heartache… just go read Kick-Ass.”
Anonymous asked: I was peeved about it too but then I remembered most writers don't do things by accident. I think there's a hidden moral message about "rawr Scott!". At least that's how I like to think about it. :)
“Fuck the Avengers” is what he means.
